It is one of the finest product that I purchased in Amazon.
The microwave oven looks stunning. It has a premium feel and ofcourse stands out from other ovens .
This is the most advanced smart oven with slim fry technology.
I have used its various modes. You can adjust its power consumption.
Timer is very easy to adjust.
Its spacious.
I will let you know if I get any cons.
Honestly its a very good product value for money.

The service of Samsung was really good. They called me the day I recieved it for taking my feedback and asked me if I faced any issues or not. They were even willing to send a person to help me out.

Other than that, microwave works like a microwave, grill convection everything works great. Used the slim fry and naan presets all worked out just fine.

Only bad thing was the quality of the dial was not good enough it was a little misaligned though not noticeable unless you look close enough. The quality of the dial just didn’t match the quality of other parts.

I was sceptical about buying it or not because of different brand as previously I had IFB 30L convection microwave but got faulty after 3 years of usage. This samsung convection microwave fulfilled my needs.
Design also good. My first samsung purchase happy to have it. Note: No kit bundled.

The 48 liter OTG is a steal deal, really awesome for baking, thanks to it now wifey can bake with consistency and perfection. Still need to try a full grill on the rotisserie. We have made brownies,muffins, cookies all came out amazing. One let down is that the door glass is single, it could have been double sided,so anyone touching wouldn’t feel the heat,else performance wise it’s a killer product.

Update after a year’s of continuous use :– still as the initial reviews its a steal deal for the price.
1) outter metal could have been more thicker so that the heat remains consistent for a longer period.
2) the rotisserie has a bit of a shakiness at 1 point in full rotation.

Then again for 5500 worth every penny, wifey now has her own home bakery,and bakes full fledged

I really don’t know what to write, because I’m happy with everything else from packaging to delivery and value for money and the simplest of operations.

One thing that bugs me is the rods don’t turn red when I operate the oven on both the top and bottom function.

Working without any issues until now and the elements too started to heat properly after a few days of regular use.

Knobs are good, just get a little warm

In a world full of technological advances, some of the devices may look like or have similar functions. This can cause a lot of confusion, especially when it comes to buying one or the other. When it comes to toasters versus microwave ovens, the confusion is even greater. This is due to the overlap of their functions, capabilities, and features.

Previously, toaster ovens were made only for liquid cheese and delicious toast, as well as other grilled sandwiches.

Microwaved Foods – Healthy or Harmful?

I recently got an email asking if you could explain to me about ‘microwave ovens’, eating ‘microwave heated food’, etc. So here it is.

The news is not good, if you prefer ‘ignorance is a blessing’, now might be a good time to ‘accidentally’ have something better to do! When we think of “natural” health and wellness, it would make sense that we want to “cook” our food in a “natural” way.

It doesn’t take much intuition to figure out that heating food in the microwave is as “unnatural” a way to cook food as it gets. Does the fact that we use the terms “zap” or “nuclear” in the microwave send a chill down your spine and suggest that something is not quite right here?

One critical point is that microwaves don’t actually ‘cook’ food at all. They basically just heat up the water content of food and make food particles resonate at very high frequencies. This ‘heats up’ your food, but is very different from ‘cooking’ your food.

It is as if your food is hot but still ‘raw’. It does not change the chemical structure of food adequately (and in many cases deforms food molecules), which substantially reduces the nutritional value of food.

However, the worst part is that microwaves can (and usually do) create harmful compounds that can lead to serious problems/illnesses (high cholesterol, cancer, etc.). * See the investigation below.

Now before you start cursing me again for making you feel bad (because you love your microwave and you think life would be hell without it), remember, like all the health advice we give, you have to make it practical and still be able to do it. It works and enjoys life.

However, while a little here and there won’t kill you (not immediately anyway!), Regular intakes are a real problem.

Basically, microwave ovens break down and change the structure of food through the process of “radiation.” Do you think that if they were marketed as “radiation furnaces”, they would be so popular?

No way, but that’s exactly what they are. Simply put, you are interfering/disturbing the “natural intelligence” of food (which is by far the most important part of any meal).

Why wouldn’t we hear more about its negative effects if they were so bad? And because modern science does not value the fact that cooking food is more than just heating it, not enough proper research is being done. It’s just another case of modern society, trying to use ‘technology to save time … unfortunately at the expense of our health and well-being.


1. Avoid using microwave/eating microwave-cooked food whenever possible.

Yes, I know you’re busy, you don’t have time to cook, and it’s very easy to just “pop” it into the microwave. I know I’m getting back to being Scrooge, and it’s very easy to say “Don’t microwave”, but this is really one of the greats.

There probably aren’t many other things you can do to improve your long-term health other than throwing your microwave out the window … or at least use it much more sparingly.

Personally, I think you’re better off buying half a decent takeout (no microwave) than constantly eating ‘zapped’ food (seriously!)

2. DEFROSTING FOODS is not so bad:

If you want to use your microwave to defrost frozen food, it’s not that bad. It’s still much better to let them defrost naturally, but using a microwave for this purpose and cooking food ‘naturally’ isn’t as bad as actually ‘cooking’ with your microwave.


Never microwave your food using plastic containers. When heated in the microwave, carcinogenic toxins can seep out of your plates or plastic and paper covers and get into your food. This is especially true for foods that contain fat.

The combination of fats, high temperatures, and plastics releases dioxins (the chemicals in dioxins that cause cancer, especially breast cancer) into food and ultimately into the cells of the body.

Use glass, corning, or ceramic containers to heat your food.

4. *** MOTHERS: DO NOT microwave your baby’s milk (especially in plastic bottles): **

Most people know the enormous benefits of breast milk for babies (as natural as possible). However, heating breast milk in the microwave (expressed milk) has been shown to destroy breast milk’s essential ability to fight disease (which helps protect your baby) and cause “hot spots” (which can burn the mouth. of your baby).

While this is not ideal in and of itself, the fact that the microwave causes ‘hot spots in the first place show that it doesn’t heat things up evenly / adequately. * More annoyances? Yes. More time? Yes. Better for your baby? ABSOLUTELY.

Practical help: How to reduce the use of microwaves?

i) Plan ahead:

Whenever possible, decide in advance what you are going to consume, so if you need to defrost something, you can take it out of the freezer beforehand (you may need to do this before you go to work in some cases).

ii) Evaluate the health benefits of cooking “naturally” versus microwaves.

Is it really that much overtime/hassle? Instead of putting something on a plate, covering it, and putting it in the microwave, you’re basically doing the same thing in an oven/saucepan. Add a little extra time to cook and wash pans, etc. (if you don’t have a dishwasher), and it won’t be much worse time-wise.

Tips for taking the food to go:

i) If they order takeout and are going to cook/heat it in a microwave, ask if they can ‘heat it in the oven instead (just enough so it’s not ‘cold’), so you don’t need much! longer!

* Aside from the health hazards, there’s nothing worse than their crunchy, crunchy batter or whatever, being microwaved into a mushy, soggy, mushy pile (Urgghhh !!!).

ii) If they can’t or don’t want to do that (i.e. reheat it in the oven), depending on the food/season, you may just prefer to have it ‘unheated’ / cold. Cold is not ideal, but it is better than being ‘bombarded’.

iii) If it needs to get hot and microwave is the “only” way, ask them to microwave it on “medium” (for a little longer) instead of “high”.

History of the microwave – The Nazis:

The Nazis invented the first microwaves. First known as ‘radiomisors’ (argghhh !!!), they were used to prepare large-scale meals during the invasion of Russia.

After the war, the Russians recovered some of these microwave ovens and conducted research on their biological effects. So alarmed by what they learned, the Russians banned microwave ovens in 1976.

Microwave Research:

More and more research suggests that people who regularly eat microwave-heated foods over a period of time experience significant adverse changes in blood chemistry and the growth rates of certain diseases.

These may include:

* A higher rate of cancer cell formation in the blood.
* Increased rates of stomach and intestinal cancer.
* Lymphatic disorders, which lead to a decreased ability to prevent certain types of cancers.
* Higher rates of digestive disorders and a gradual breakdown of elimination systems.

1. Dr. Hans Ulrich Hertel was the first scientist to conduct quality clinical research on the effects of microwave nutrients (on the human body).

Increased cholesterol levels
Decrease in the number of red blood cells.
Production of radiolytic compounds (compounds unknown in nature)
Decreased hemoglobin levels (possible anemia problems).

His conclusion:

Microwave cooking changes the nutrients in food and changes occur in the blood of the participants that can cause deterioration in the human system.

1. The scientific study of Hertel was carried out together with Dr. Bernard H. Blanc of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the University Institute of Biochemistry.

2. A study published in the November 2003 issue of The Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture found that … broccoli “zapping” in the microwave with a little water lost up to 97% of beneficial antioxidant chemicals containing.

By comparison, steamed broccoli lost 11% or less of its antioxidants.

3. A recent study at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York showed that microwaved foods create toxic compounds (known as AGEs) that are associated with serious diseases like heart disease and diabetes, and so on.

EFAs are formed when sugars, proteins, and fats come together in high-temperature cooking, the most damaging of which is microwave food.

4. Microwave-heated baby formulas convert certain trans amino acids to their synthetic isomers, which are toxic to the nervous system; This is from the British magazine The Lancet (December 9, 1989).

Microwave heated blood kills a woman:

A 1991 lawsuit involved a woman who underwent hip surgery and died because the blood used in her blood transfusion was heated in a microwave. Blood is routinely heated before transfusions, but not in the microwave. The microwave altered the blood and killed the woman.

More about microwaves and dioxins:

This is from an email (circa Jan 2006), Re; John Hopkins Cancer News. He was received from a nursing supervisor at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was sent to his staff.

Johns Hopkins Cancer News:
Plastic containers are not allowed in the microwave.
No plastic wrap in the microwave.

He recommends using glass, corning, or ceramic containers to heat food.

The same results are achieved but without the dioxin. Therefore, things such as TV dinners and soups, etc. need to be taken out of the container and heated in something else (* Mark’s note: reheating/cooking frozen food, for example, TV dinners, is not highly recommended of all modes).

The paper is not bad, but you don’t know what is on the paper. It is safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast-food restaurants moved away from foam to paper packaging. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. He also pointed out that the Saran wrap is just as dangerous when placed over food that will be cooked in the microwave.
